Girls Want Boyfriends With Good Skills
Apr. 7th, 2005 02:18 pmAfter careful consideration, I'm doing much better. I didn't end up going out and getting drunk, or making out with any random girls, redheaded or not. I just ended up staying home and watching Napolean Dynamite and Clerks.
I came to the conclusion that she really wasn't ready for the kind of relationship that she knew I could offer her, and had just wanted me for a good time while she was down visiting. No big loss on my part, now that I stop to think about it.
I'm just glad I didn't sleep with her.
When we were talking at Henry's before we started dancing, she told me that she'd only had sex once in her life, not that long ago. Had we slept together that night, I know I would have ended up regretting it- and not just because I'd promised her best friend otherwise. Guilt associated with sex is never a good thing.
So it looks like I'm back at square one, once again, in this familiar position I seem to be so good at getting myself into- it really reminds me of my favorite Ziggy cartoon. Ziggy's playing softball, and has knocked a home run out of the park to win the game- but the ball went through the windshield of his car. Sounds about right for me, huh?
Anyway, time to get going- after all, if I'm going to find a girlfriend, I have to work on boning up my skills. So, I'll be out somewhere practicing with my bo staff, my nunchucks, and my computer hacking skills.
