Back At Work...

So all things considered, it's a beautiful night to be out at sea- there's nary a cloud in the blackened sky, and an almost- full moon is bathing the ocean off our starboard side in a pale halp of light. In the past, this has always been one of the loneliest times for me to be out to sea, but strangely enough, that's not the case now. I know that somewhere, back on land is a beautiful woman counting down the days until I return to land, almost breathless in her anticipation of my arrival. It's a nice feeling, and a very welcome change from past underways. I'm looking forward to getting back on land, as is Amy, but she understands I have a job to do, and will wait for me as long as she has to. To say the least, I've been sleeping better at night, too. :)
