I just went to my first LJ meetup for the Hampton Roads community this evening up at the Barnes and Nobles in Hampton, and I must say, had a lot of fun. There were only 6 of us there, but we had some very good conversation; among the topics discussed:
80's Cartoons (GI Joe, Voltron, Transforners, Carebears, Strawberry Shortcake, etc.)
80's TV Shows (Airwolf, A- Team, Knight Rider, ALF, etc.)
Monty Python
Star Trek
Star Wars
Anime*
Role- Playing Games*
*( the last two topics [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and I just sort of sat there and listened to, since neither one of us are really into that, but regardless it was a lot of fun. The best part though was finally getting to meet the above mentioned young lady- another band nerd who can was a hell of a lot of fun to talk to. Hopefully I'll get to hang out with her a lot more often in the future. All in all, it was a really fun night. Oh, and I shouldn't have had that Venti sized Caramel Macchiato.
