One More Week...
Nov. 3rd, 2005 09:49 pmSo we're currently out to sea, still, from the last time I wrote.
Three days ago we broke the ship's previous record for the most consecutive days out to sea.
We have 7 days left.
Needless to say, people are starting to get a bit on edge...we've already had a few fights break out between people in the division- when you work with this many guys in this close of a proximity for as long as we have, people start learning each other's buttons really quickly, and then you get the meddlers who like pushing them, just to see what happens. And everybody, after all, has their own breaking point.
On a happier note, I think Amy and I are averaging 3 or 4 emails each per day, whenever I get chances to sneak away for a bit and hop on the computer, usually pretending to do "real" work- ah, it's good to be the boss. :) Even though we miss each other terribly, this has been a really good test of our relationship thus far. We've gotten to know each other a lot better, and the communication couldn't be better. I've admitted things to her that I've never told another living soul about, and I know she's done the same with me. Granted, I've never had a problem talking to her about anything, but this just seems to be a whole new level...
One more week, then I'm back in San Diego.
For a little while.
And Amy will be there waiting for me. :)
