The Curse Strikes Again

We've lost another guy here onboard.
It was Engineering this time- apparently they found him Sunday afternoon while we were in Santa Barbara, in his rack. I'm not sure if I knew the guy or not yet, as I was on watch yesterday during the memorial service. Still, as much as our stuff overlaps with Engineering, there's a very good chance that I at least ran into him on a few occasions. I know my friends who work on that side of the house are taking it hard- it's one of their own, after all, and we all took Tom's death really hard. They released the results of his investigation, by the way-apparently his drug medication mixed with the pain meds they put him on killed him. He would have made Chief, and the new selectees have been carrying his book and everything for him, as if he was there. A nice touch, really.
